MSG (ret.) Howard "Mad Max" Mullen

Howard "Max" Mullen Jr. was one of the most dynamic Army Ranger Instructors to serve during the mid 80s and early 90s. Max served as an Army Ranger Instructor and in all three of Ranger Battalions the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Max is a is a 2013 U. S. Army Ranger Hall of Fame Inductee and is a Distinguished Member of the Ranger training brigade 2013 Inductee and a United States Army Forces Command MG Aubrey "Red" Newman Leadership Award Recipient.

Max Mullen conducted a Combat Parachute Jump on to the Island of Grenada during Operation Urgent Fury 1983 rescue of American medical Students.

 

Mark "Stone" Anderson

Know to many as simply Stone, Mark has an extremely diverse background in tactical medicine, CQB/MOUT operations, static line parachuting, counter-terrorism, biological weapons, engineering, computer programming, ethical hacking, aviation maintenance, desert and wilderness survival, and tracking. Mark has worked with many companies and organizations such as ArmorWorks, POF-USA, McMillan USA, DOJ, Ft. Knox, California State Capital, CRS/XMC, DMEA, Paypal, Wells Fargo, and others.

Thomas Leitner

Tom is a decorated Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps where he served with Military Police and Airframes on the CH-53E. Currently he specializes in teaching Urban Escape & Evasion, wilderness survival,  and Tactical Applications in Urban Environments. Tom also teaches fire arms safety, manipulation, and marksmanship throughout eastern Pennylvania.

Tom currently helps mold the minds of our future generations at military summer camps where he teaches advanced military skills, leadership, and team work.

Gary Williams, RIP
Research & Development

Gary is a 20 year Electrical Engineer and since 2004, he has been the Director of Business Development for ASAT (Assured Space Access Technologies Inc.), a consulting company specializing on MDA (Missile Defense Agency) projects and programs. Gary has been working in Space and Aerospace Weapons Systems since 1983. In short Gary is our registered TacSim. Gary has worked on many of today’s major weapons systems, along with satellites and launch vehicles. Yep, TacSim has a real Rocket Scientist.

As a self proclaimed small arms expert (a loose term), Gary is very knowledgeable and has firsthand knowledge of many US and Soviet small arms and is proficient in tactical and long range shooting, along with pistols, knives and shotguns. Most of his tactical knowledge comes from his military training, self taught or comes from volunteering for OPFOR missions for the State.

Ash Hess
Research & Development

Ash is a Senior NCO in the US Army currently serving as the Senior Writer for Small Arms in the Weapons and Gunnery Branch at the Maneuver Center of Excellence Fort Benning, Georgia. Most recently they published the TC3-22.9 Rifle and Carbine in May, 2016.

Army Schools include US Army Master Marksmanship Trainer Course, Ranger Small Arms Leaders Course, Rifle Marksmanship Instructor Course, Ranger Marksmanship Instructor Course, Urban Combat Leaders Course, Air Assault, Rappelmaster, Senior Leaders Course, Army Basic Instructor course, High Angle Marksmanship Course, and Unit Armorer course.

Ash has served 4 combat tours totaling 52 months overseas.

Ryan Penny

Ryan has been a part of the military simulation community since 2003. He has used his accrued knowledge to volunteer as a lead staff member for multiple mil-sim created by the Combat Challenge, American Pankration, and Arizona National Guard organizations. Ryan works behind the scenes as an operations supervisor for a local municipality in water production and treatment, serving his community for over 10 years. He enjoys the challenges and responsibility in protecting the general public from health issues and helping to maintain civilization as we know it, one drop of water at a time.
